Annie Adams is a professional vocalist, performing songwriter, and private music lessons teacher in Nashville, TN, and currently works as the Words & Music Program Coordinator at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. She performs her original Country/ Americana music under the name Annie Kennedy.
Annie attended college at Millikin University in Decatur, IL, where she studied Commercial Music with a vocal emphasis, and graduated with an array of musical experiences. Notable accomplishments include 3 years singing with the world-renowned University Choir, who toured the US each year, and overseas to China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong in 2008, and 4 years in various Vocal Jazz and Madrigal ensembles. Through her commercial music studies, she gained experience producing, engineering, and working as a session musician in the recording studio. College was also the time that Annie began to explore her passion for songwriting.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Annie moved to Nashville, where she has been working as a songwriter and performer since arriving in 2009. She has released several independent recording projects, performed all over the country and in Europe, and written with some of Nashville's best songwriters. One of Annie's proudest accomplishments was being featured as a "Trailblazer" in the national campaign for RocketBuster Boots in 2016. Other notable "very Nashville" experiences include performing in Lorrie Morgan's "Enchanted Christmas" at the Garylord Opryland Hotel & Resort, and opening for the legendary Wanda Jackson at a birthday party for fashion Icon Manuel, as part of a Johnny Cash Cover band (if that's not Nashville, I don't know what is!). She keeps a busy schedule as a professional vocalist, singing everything from Classical arias at church functions to Christmas carols with the Goode Time Carolers.
Besides a busy teaching and performing schedule, Annie can be found spending time with her husband, son, dog, and 2 cats.
